Frimley Park Hospital boasts a purpose built designated endoscopy unit which has 5 fully equipped procedure rooms. It is JAG accredited and participates in the National Bowel cancer Screening Program.An opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Healthcare assistant with or without endoscopy experiences. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good communication skills, be polite, professional and enthusiastic and be able to work within a multidisciplinary team. You will be committed to delivering high quality patient care. Full training and ongoing support will be made available to support your learning/training needs.
The Endoscopy Unit is open from 08.00 hrs to 19.00hrs, Monday to Friday and closed on Bank Holidays. You may be required to work weekends as per the service need.

- To undertake agreed clinical activities including recording of pulse/temperature/blood pressure/saturation and MET scoring, and to advise the team nurse of any changes in a patient’s condition.
- To make tea and coffee for post endoscopy procedure.
- To assist patient if needs toilet.
- To assist for hoisting and transferring the patient if needs.
- To answer the ward telephone as required
- To assist with discharge procedures
- To maintain patient records.
- To tidy rooms and bed areas, and to clean and strip beds and remake after patient discharge, dealing with disposal of soiled linen as per policy
- To ensure ward equipment is suitably maintained and cleaned frequently.
